Spidey And His Amazing Friends Wiki

Spidey and his amazing friends

Miles Morales/Spin is one of the two deuteragonists of Marvel's Spidey and his Amazing Friends alongside Ghost Spider. His superhero name used to be Spider-Man before he changed it into Spin in the short WEB-Ster, so the supercomputer WEB-Ster will not be confused.

Personality

As his civilian self, Miles loves a variety of things such as watching movies, playing at the amusement park and his hobby painting which connects to his love towards artworks in the museum. As a result, he has a lot of favorite things which leads to him having a hard time to decide in the episode Not-So-Fun House. He also can be impatient from time to time, rushing to do things as quick as possible to the point of forgetting something like his breakfast in the episode Spin Rushes In, or making a mistake when building his robot TWIST-E in the episode of the same name.

As his superhero self, Spin still retains his personality as he still loves the same things he likes such as art in the episode Art Attack! He also had the inability to decide in the episode Not-So-Fun House and tendency to rush into things in the episode Spin Rushes In before learning from his mistakes. Like the other members of Team Spidey, he prioritises the lives of people and saves them before stopping villains, knows how to differentiate basic right and wrong behaviors, feels regret over making mistakes and learning from them.

Appearance

As Miles , he wears a blue shirt underneath his jacket that has three layers, dark orange, orange and light orange from bottom to top. He wears a blue gray long pants that covers his legs. His shoes are brownish red with white shoelaces and white soles.

As Spin, he wears a suit that covers his entire body, and a mask that covers his entire head. His suit is mainly black with red gloves, boots and a V-shape stretching from the the groin up to the shoulders. He has a red spider logo on his chest and red outline making web patterns from the upper part of his body to the barrier formed by the lines that form the V-shape. At the back of his suit, the same red lines that form the V-shape continues in forms of small waves before stopping at a red spider logo. His mask is also mainly black with red outlines forming a web pattern all over it with the exception of the two parts that cover the eyes which is white with red outlines.

Powers

  • Wall-Crawling: Due to his spider powers giving him sticky hands and feet, Spin can crawl on the walls by sticking and unsticking like how actual spiders climb.
  • Spider-Sense: Usually called 'Spidey-Sense', this sense acts as a warning that danger(incoming objects or enemies) is coming or close by.
  • Spider Proportionate Strength: Despite not being as strong as Hulk, Spin is still strong enough to move and stop cars by pulling on his webs.
  • Cloaking Power: He has the ability to make himself invisible.
  • Arcachno Sting: He has the ability to generate bio-electric energy from his hands that can be used to put its victims to sleep temporarily through direct or indirect contact.

Abilities

  • Skilled Artist: He is very good at painting, which is demonstrated in the episode Art Attack! as he was able to paint a near-perfect copy of the Lady in the Green Dress painting and a realistic-looking fake exit in a short period of time.
  • Inventing Skills: In the episode TWIST-E, he was able to build his robot TWIST-E by looking at the blueprints made by Peter.
  • Skilled Guitarist: He is shown to play the electric guitar quite fluently.

Trivia

  • This is the fourth time Miles appeared in an animated series that stars Peter/Spidey following 2012 Ultimate Spider-Man, 2017 Marvel's Spider-Man and 2017 Marvel Super Hero Adventures.
    • Miles Morales' first voice actor in the Ultimate Spider-Man series is Donald Glover, who voiced adult Simba in the 2019 remake of The Lion King, while Miles' second voice actor in that series is Ogie Banks, who also voiced Haya the aardwolf in the Disney Junior series The Lion Guard, which is canon to the animated Lion King films.
  • His voice actor, Jakari Fraser, also voices AJ on the show Blaze and the Monster Machines starting from that show's sixth season.
    • AJ's first and original voice actor is Dusan Brown, who also voiced Beshte on The Lion Guard
  • Similar to the 2017 TV Show Marvel's Spider-Man, Miles did not come from a parallel universe, originating from the same universe as Peter and Gwen.
  • Similar to the Miles Morales from the 2018 movie Into the Spider-Verse, Miles is a very skilled artist, and has a curly hairstyle.
  • He seems to be the youngest member of Team Spidey, judging by his height.
  • His current superhero name Spin came from Gwen's suggestion of calling him Spider Spin, leading to him choosing the name Spin, in the short WEB-STER when he has to come up with a new superhero name so that WEB-Ster will not be confused.
  • He is the first member of Team Spidey to have both his parents shown on screen.
  • Miles' favourite ice-cream flavour is Pistachio, demonstrated in the episode Spidey to the Power of Three.
  • In the episode Rocket Rhino, it is revealed that Mint and Chocolate Chips ice-cream is not one of his favourites, as he said it himself upon catching a tub of said ice cream.
  • His favourite artwork is the Lady in the Green Dress, demonstrated in the episode Art Attack!
  • He’s very welled guitar player first seen in Practice Makes You Better
  • In the episode TWIST-E, he gets his own spider bot, TWIST-E, making him the second person to own one after Peter.
  • Catch and Release is the first episode to have Miles as the only member of Team Spidey appearing.
  • He is the first member of Team Spidey seen to get specifically captured by a villain in his civilian form, as Doc Ock caught only him and his father Jeff Morales in Catch and Release, not having any other prisoners.
  • The first time he is completely absent from both segments of an episode is in A Syrupy Solution and Little Ant, Big Problem, making him the second member of Team Spidey to be absent in both segments of an episode, the first being Ghost Spider whose first time being absent in both segments being Going Green and Coming Clean
  • As of Season 3, Miles/Spin is the only main character who maintains his original voice actor, Jakari Fraser, as Spidey and Ghost Spider get new voice actors.
  • His voice is noticeably deeper in Season 3, this is Most likely due to Jakari Fraser going through puberty at the time
  • Miles is the only main character to not be an only child.
